Jan has over 35 years of general management experience. He spent over 20 years in international executive roles with ASEA, ABB and Alstom, in businesses serving the global power generation, rail transport, pulp & paper, building products, oil & gas, metallurgical and industrial markets. He worked as head of the worldwide environmental control, transport equipment, high speed and very high-speed intercity rolling stock segments and was a member of Group Management Committees. He was based in the USA, Zurich and Brussels.
Since 2005 he has been the Executive Chairman, Non-Executive Chairman and CEO of several Nova portfolio companies in North America, Europe and Asia.
Jan has been an Operating Partner since 2011 responsible for businesses in the Shell, Argent, Wildcat, CIPI and Wolf portfolios and opened Nova’s Chicago office in 2012.
